Week 11 is over already? It’s only Thursday! Well it might be Thursday but the training is done for the week. The Chilly 1/2 Marathon is on Sunday so its a couple of days of R&R, a short run to get loose on Saturday and then the race on Sunday. My knee felt a bit off during the last run (no it’s not an excuse) on Thursday so I cut it short to give it a rest. I also replaced the swim on Thursday with an upper body workout. I want to give my legs a good rest.
I outlined my goals earlier and said that the real goal is to finish and build the confidence so when Muskoka rolls around I know that I can run a half marathon. Having done a few faster runs the past few weeks and learning what a fast and a comfortable pace I can run I think I will break the 2 hour mark comfortably, my friend Bryan thinks I can break 1:48 but that would be my best pace ever.
