Team Vega

Age Group sponsorships, aka ambassador programs, are becoming big.  I am happy to announce another great group will be helping me on my journey.  I received notice yesterday that I was accepted as a member of Team Vega and with no conflicts with my existing sponsors I jumped on board.  Team Vega is sponsored by the awesome people at Vega the producers of Vega One and Vega Sport products and the team behind the Thrive Forward program.

I’ve been using the Vega One and Vega Sport products for a while.  When I dropped dairy about a year ago I tried a few different protein powders and found the Vega One line to be the best.  Aside from a full spectrum of proteins they also include plenty of other goodies for a whole health blend.  And after a TrainingPeaks team mate shared her bounty of the Vega Sport products she won I’ve been consistently using the Pre-Workout Energizer before those early morning workouts and the Recovery Accelerator and Performance Protein after the hard workouts and races.  I really like the fact that they are not full of strange chemical concoctions.

I have also learned a TON from the Thrive Forward program and continue to work through it.

I’m looking forward to working with the great people on Team Vega as we all accomplish great things in 2013!

  1. dude! how many teams are you on?! you are going to look like a Nascar buggy with all the signage on your tri suit! lol
actually the vegan performance protein sounds good…is it soy based and isolate?
ive been considering ditching my whey based protein in favor of a soy based protein powder.

  2. LOL at the NASCAR comment, it won’t be that bad ;) Vega is not soy based, it is Pea, Hemp, Brown Rice and Saviseed proteins. Also includes some anti-oxidants and other good stuff!

Soy is terrible, most of it is GMO, even the “organic” stuff and lots of people have minor allergies to it.
